The goal of the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD) Laboratory at New Mexico State University (NMSU) is to create effective and efficient methods for the discovery of useful knowledge from complex data (e.g., sequence data and graph structured data) either through pre-defined mining requests or through ad-hoc queries.
Our lab’s work is closely related to research in data mining, databases, machine learning, and data science. In particular, we work on designing developing data mining and data management algorithms, new machine learning models, and applying these techniques to different application domains to discover useful knowledge.
The lab is led by Dr. Huiping Cao. Any inquiries about our projects and publications, please email hcao at cs dot nmsu dot edu.
