This Smart Grid Monitoring Tool is a project which was developed under the iCREDITS program by Brett Pelkey and Stefan Ceballos to graphically represent grid parameters measured by a PMU. A PMU, or Phasor Measurement Unit, is a type of sensor that is deployed throughout electrical smart grids to measure parameters such as Voltage, Frequency, Current and many others. The Tool will display 2 grid parameters, Voltage and Frequency, which are often sufficient to identify system disturbances. The user can select up to 10 PMU’s from a particular area and/or disturbance type to be graphed in the application.
